Police hunting for suspect who shot and killed woman inside bus in Roodepoort

CAPE TOWN - Police are hunting for a gunman after a woman was shot and killed on a Metrobus in Roodepoort on Wednesday morning.

Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) spokesperson Xolani Fihla said the shooting happened in Fleurhof.

Fihla said officers rushed to the scene after being alerted to the incident.

"Upon arrival, the officers found a deceased female. It's alleged that the deceased was shot by an unknown male. And the suspected shooter reportedly fled the scene in a white Volkswagen Polo sedan without licence plates."
