JOHANNESBURG - City of Joburg Human Settlements MMC, Anthea Leitch, has resigned with immediate effect.

Joburg Mayor Kabelo Gwamanda confirmed that Leitch tendered her resignation earlier on Monday.

While details surrounding her resignation are unclear at this stage, the Patriotic Alliance councillor served in the City’s Mayoral Committee for over two years.

Gwamanda described Leitch as a hardworking and dependable leader who was committed to addressing housing issues in the metro.
