NEHAWU provincial secretary Ayanda Zulu threatened to declare Mtolo a persona non-grata who would be barred from addressing the union's gatherings if he missef the deadline to retract his comments and to publicly apologise.

"We have issued a statement as NEHAWU, giving Mr Mtolo 48 hours to withdraw this statement, otherwise the union is going to explore other avenues on the basis that we view this as defamation of the union, because he singles out that it’s Nehawu," Zulu said.
