WC police probe double murder in Philippi

CAPE TOWN - Cape Town police are seeking the public's help in solving a double murder that took place in Philippi East.

The men in their 30s were shot and killed in Polar Park on Monday by unknown gunmen.

Western Cape police spokesperson Wesley Twigg says the motive for the killing is unknown at this stage.

"According to reports two unknown suspects approached the victims and after they talked the suspects shot them. Both victims sustained gunshot wounds to their heads and were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested," said Twigg.
