Ntuli: KZN working on closing spaza shops run by illegal foreign nationals

DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli said that his administration was working on closing spaza shops that were being run by foreigners who were in the country illegally.
His comments come after police found that some stores, owned by foreign nationals, were selling counterfeit goods.
Ntuli briefed journalists in Durban earlier on Thursday.
"We will further engage municipalities to collaborate with the KwaZulu-Natal government in an effort to get back spaza shops owned by undocumented foreign nationals to the people of KwaZulu-Natal and engage on the way of supporting local spaza shops owned by our people."
