Bongani Bingwa speaks with singer-songwriter, Buhlebendalo about what fans can expect from "Makube Chosi Kube Hele Live," at the Gibson Kente Theatre at Soweto Theatre.
What does it mean to her?
"When as a black community we pray to our forefathers, the last words we utter 'Makube Chosi Kube Hele' means 'let all our manifestations and all our prayers come to leave, let everything we say here today take flight and let there be light on our path and our journeys', and that is simply what I am saying with this show."
Buhlebendalo, Singer-Songwriter
She released this work four years after her debut, Chosi, which she birthed during the Covid-19 era.
"It's a good second chapter of my solo career."

She says now she is a mom, she has transformed her message to help empower to women, mothers and daughters.
"So from that little girl who sang to make people dance, which is also a good thing, has transformed into a woman who makes people listen to their inner selves, because that is what I am seeking for myself as well."
