CAPE TOWN - Assessments are under way in the Overcome Heights informal settlement near Muizenberg, after a fire destroyed about a hundred structures.
At least 300 people have been affected.

City of Cape Town officials said an official count will be given once the registration process is completed.
"Two minors sustained burn wounds and were taken to hospital. City services have been activated to attend to infrastructural damages, including replacing toilets on-site.
"The City's Electricity Services was on site to fix overhead electrical lines. Solid Waste will start clearing the site as soon as possible," said the city's Disaster Risk Management Centre spokesperson, Sonica Lategan.
