CAPE TOWN - Residents of Brandvlei, a small town in Northern Cape, have been hit by a tremor on Sunday morning.
It’s understood that the earthquake occurred during the early hours of the morning, measuring at 5.3 magnitude.
No injuries have been reported, or has there been significant damage to buildings, but it was felt by numerous people in the area.
Meanwhile, there are also reports of a possible earthquake that hit parts of Paarl in the Western Cape, also recorded on Sunday morning.
There are no details yet on the magnitude or depth of this possible quake at this stage.
