Two suspects have been killed in a shootout with police at a residence on Mkhelekehleni Road at KwaNgcolosi, KwaZulu-Natal.
According to police, in the early hours of Saturday morning, officers acted on intelligence gathered on the whereabouts of the wanted suspects.
No police officers were injured during the shootout.
Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says when officers arrived at the rondavel house in which the suspects were sleeping, a shootout ensued.
It’s understood the suspects were wanted in connection with at least four counts of murder within the Hillcrest policing precinct, including the recent double murder of an 84-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl.
