WC Health Dept gives more details on Karl Bremer Hospital dragging incident

CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape Health Department said that the patient who was being dragged by security guards at the Karl Bremer Hospital in Cape Town, refused to leave after being discharged.
A video clip of the incident went viral on social platforms.
In it, a female patient can be seen lying on the floor wearing a hospital gown and holding what appears to be her medication.
The health department has described the incident as unfortunate and regrettable.
It said that the actions of the two security guards were inexcusable and disciplinary proceedings were underway.
Western Cape Health Department, Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Saadiq Kariem: "We have done an investigation, they have also suspended the two officials pending the investigation. It's not how we treat people, so let me just start with that, an unreserved apology."
