JOHANNESBURG - Residents of Johannesburg may have to wait seven more days before water is fully restored.
Taps have been running dry for at least three days now.
The metro said its reservoirs had been constrained for more than two weeks due to high consumption.
Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero said they were prioritising critical areas for restoration and the process of refilling water in these reservoirs would take time to be completed.
"We believe that in the next seven days, we would have resolved the supply. All of our reservoirs will be filled to capacity, and we will be able to provide."
