DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli has praised his Provincial Executive Council’s (PEC) response to crime fighting in the province.
KwaZulu-Natal battled with a high crime and continues to experience deadly shootings.
When he took over office last year Ntuli promised to curb crime.
He delivered the State of the Province Address (SOPA) in Pietermaritzburg on Friday.
“We recognise that without law and order, there can be no investment nor economic growth, no social progress.”
He added that the 7th administration has launched various initiatives targeting crime.
“Over the past 8 months, we have initiated critical interventions from the social crime prevention summit held on the 2nd of August 2024 to direct engagements with the communities deeply affected by crime.”
