JOHANNESBURG - The death toll following the fatal R21 highway bus crash in Ekurhuleni has been revised to 13.

Gauteng officials have been providing an update on the crash on Wednesday morning.
Seventy-seven people were transported to various hospitals for treatment.
The City of Ekurhuleni has committed to assisting the families of those affected by the horror crash.
Ekurhuleni Mayor Doctor Xhakaza said officials are working on compiling a full report into the accident.
“A report details all those that were injured. Yesterday [Tuesday], we were reporting 45, and we can report here that 77 patients were transported to various healthcare facilities for treatment. It is important that we do emphasise this part because, at the accident scene, there are those who are critically injured.”
