Ekurhuleni EMS responds to bus crash involving primary school children

JOHANNESBURG – Ekurhuleni emergency management services (EMS) is currently responding to a bus crash with primary school children in Blackreef and Dekema near Wadeville.

One 12-year-old boy has sustained slight injuries.
The rest of the Segulong Primary School learners are being attended to by the medics.
Ekurhuleni EMS spokesperson William Ntladi said the bus crashed into a truck.
“So on arrival, we found that now none of the children sustained critical injuries, but we have recorded 19 casualties with minor injuries have been treated on scene by the Emergency Medical Services paramedics, so soon they will be transported to various hospitals for medical care,” he explained.
