SAWS warns of wet weather across KZN

DURBAN - Motorists in KwaZulu-Natal are urged to be extra cautious on the roads due to heavy rains across the province.

The South African Weather Service has issued a Level 6 warning for severe rainfall in the south-eastern regions.

Several flooding incidents were reported last night, leading to blocked roads in some areas.

Transport MEC Siboniso Duma has emphasised the importance of safety, urging motorists to take necessary precautions to prevent accidents.

“The issue of climate condition is real. Our message is clear that when you are on the road you are not even driving your vehicle only, just be mindful that you must adhere to the law.”
