Ekurhuleni firefighters have dispatched three petrol tankers that were on fire at a fuel truck company, in Benoni.

JOHANNESBURG - Ekurhuleni firefighters have dispatched three petrol tankers that were on fire at a fuel truck company, in Benoni.

The city’s disaster and emergency management services said the trucks caught fire after a welding job went wrong.

It said that two trucks were fully loaded with thousands of litres of petrol, while the other was empty.

The city said the fire was contained before any serious damage occurred.

The incident is currently under investigation.
