CAPE TOWN - The South African Weather Services has issued a Yellow level 1 warning for disruptive rain in parts of the Western Cape on Friday.

This will bring thundershowers and isolated scattered showers to Prince Albert, Garden Route, Cape Winelands and the Overberg.
 
Weather forecaster Stacy Colborne explains the impact this might have on residents.

"Very localised flooding of informal and informal settlements as well as roads and low-lying bridges. It may increase motor vehicle accidents as well on the roads on Friday," said Colborne.
