KZN finance dept allocates R44m for disaster relief

PIETERMARITZBURG - KwaZulu-Natal's finance department has been allocated R44 million for disaster relief.
This was confirmed when the province’s Finance MEC Francois Rodgers tabled the new budget for the province on Tuesday.

The MEC also assured KZN residents that the matter was receiving the necessary attention it deserved.
"Last week, I submitted through my office additional information through to the national minister of finance regarding the recent flood damage which the minister, and in fact the president, are giving attention to."
