JOHANNESBURG - Controversial Pastor Paseka Mboro Motsoeneng claims he has experienced significant financial and reputational damage due to the criminal charges he is facing.
Mboro made a brief appearance at the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court on Tuesday, where he is facing charges of kidnapping, trespassing, and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
The pastor of the Incredible Happenings Ministry was arrested last year after a viral video showed him brandishing weapons at a primary school in Katlehong during an alleged custody dispute.
Speaking after his case was postponed on Tuesday, Mboro said that his church had also lost a lot.
"My income, the defamation of my character, the people who were loyal lost their spiritual home. So the damage is there. I think when you calculate the income that I was going to make, the destruction of my value and wealth is over R60 milllion."
