Police have launched investigations into a deadly crash in Ekurhuleni.
Two people, including a child, died when an Audi crashed into a Toyota Avanza.
Four others were seriously injured.
EMPD officers from the Clayville precinct responded to the incident at the intersection of Olifantsfontein Road and South View.
The suspected drunk driver of the Audi fled the scene.
“Four other passengers sustained serious but stable injuries and were medically treated on scene before being transported to the nearest medical facility. Rescue teams had to use specialised hydraulic rescue equipment to access and recover both deceased patients from the wreckage," said EMS Spokesperson William Ntladi.
