Lesufi calls for ‘no mercy’ to men arrested linked to Soshanguve patroller murders

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has led a Soshanguve community in the call for no mercy to be given to the men arrested in connection with the brutal killings in the township.
Six community patrollers were killed when they were attacked while on duty in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The men allegedly stoned the patrollers before shooting them and burning their remains.
The suspects, who are being investigated for the crime, appeared in the Pretoria North Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
But during a memorial service for the victims on Wednesday, Lesufi had a message for the courts: “We are sending a strong message to the courts – no mercy. We are sending a strong message to the courts – justice for all.
“We are sending a strong message to the courts – no bail. We are sending a strong message to the courts – hold on, we are bringing others to the same court.”
