Two Oceans Marathon: 31k runners from around the world to hit Cape Town streets
The marathons take place on Saturday (5 April) and Sunday (6 April).

The Two Oceans Marathon returns to Cape Town on 5 and 6 April 2025.
With the 56-kilometre ultramarathon taking place on Saturday and the 21.1-kilometre half marathon on Sunday, runners will take on one of the world’s most scenic and challenging courses.

On Saturday, 14,000 runners will take on the 56 km ultra-marathon while 17,000 runners will participate in the half-marathon.
Runners' kits and registration opened at 10 am on Friday (until 8 pm) at the expo at DHL Stadium in Green Point.
If you're an ultra-marathon runner - you only have today to collect your race pack to be able to run tomorrow.
If you're a half-marathon runner - you have today (10 am to 8 pm) and Saturday (5 April) from 9 am to 3 pm to collect your kit.
The ultramarathon will be available to watch on DStv's SuperSport channels on Saturday while the half marathon will be streamed live on the Two Oceans Marathon's Facebook page on Sunday.
The marathon welcomes over 4,000 international runners to the Mother City.

CapeTalk's Lester Kiewit also spoke to Bahram Farhang, who has previously taken part in marathons in Lisbon, the Petra desert, Panama City, Costa Rica, and many other countries.
Farhang is looking forward to running his first Two Oceans Marathon in South Africa.
