Spotify denies it was hacked after global outage
Service was restored on Wednesday (16 April).

Several Spotify users reported not being able to access the music streaming service on Wednesday (16 April).
The platform confirmed it was experiencing technical issues, affecting users globally.
It denies that the outage was the result of a security breach.

Over 48,000 people reported having problems with Spotify on Downdetector, which tracks app outages in real-time.
Spotify has over 675 million users worldwide.
All services were restored on the same day.
