Two suspects accused of being involved in the planning of the alleged hit appeared at the same court on Friday.

CAPE TOWN - Cape Town police believe they've found the person responsible for smuggling guns into the Wynberg Magistrates Court, where a fatal shooting took place earlier in April.

Two suspects accused of being involved in the planning of the alleged hit appeared at the same court on Friday.

They’re all linked to the murder of Vrygrond taxi operator, Dingalomoya Chintso, inside the court building.

Brian Booysen and Wanay Farao were nabbed on Thursday, bringing the number of suspects arrested in the matter to four.

Booysen is accused of supplying the guns used to shoot Chintso outside Court D earlier in April, while Farao has been fingered as the person who helped smuggle the firearms into the court building.

Provincial Police Commissioner Thembisile Patekile said they'd been informed that metal detectors at the court's entrance were not working at the time of the shooting.

"We were also informed that there were few securities that were at the gate, so we suspect because of that, guns could not be detected getting into the building."

They’ll be back in court in two weeks' time, to join alleged mastermind Shireen Matthews and alleged trigger man Abubaker Adams in the dock.
