Police probing murder of teen in Bishop Lavis

CAPE TOWN - Police are investigating the killing of an 18-year-old who was shot and killed in Bishop Lavis on Thursday.

It's understood that the teenager was approached by two unknown suspects at a shop in Ivy Street.

One of the suspects opened fire, shooting him in his upper body.

The teen was brought to a hospital by family members, where he was declared dead.

Police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie: "The motive forms part of ongoing investigations. No arrests have been made yet. We appeal to anyone with information to contact Crime Stop at 08600 1011."
