Suspect arrested after armed robbery in Somerset West

CAPE TOWN - A suspect has been arrested following an armed robbery in Somerset West.
About ten armed men entered a shopping complex just after 6am on Tuesday morning and took an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police spokesperson Joseph Swartbooi said that as they left the building, the robbers spotted a patrol vehicle and opened fire.
"The police members took action and detained a 28-year-old man. Lwandle police are investigating a case of business robbery. We can confirm that no one sustained any injuries owing to the exchange of gunfire. The rest of the suspects fled the scene and they are yet to be arrested."
