JOHANNESBURG - With poor service delivery remaining a concern in the City of Johannesburg, Mayor Dada has established what he calls a "bomb squad" to ensure work gets done.

Morero announced during his State of the City Address on Wednesday that African National Congress (ANC) veteran, Snuki Zikalala, had been roped in to lead the bomb squad.

Its primary mandate is to ensure the metro’s plans are implemented.

Morero said that the bomb squad would play a significant role in turning things around.

"Let us use our executive orders by establishing a high-power implementation impact team known as the 'bomb squad'. In military language, a bomb squad has the responsibility of examining and removing bombs that are found and to prevent them from exploding. This CoJ bomb squad must remove constraints that impact on the city’s ability to create the Joburg we want to see."
