Forecaster Luthando Masimini says these conditions will impact the navigation of small boats on water.
He adds that the cold front is expected to move fast across the eastern parts of the country by Sunday.
"We are also expecting those conditions to spread to the Eastern Cape coast...between Plettenberg Bay and East London. Also, some strong damaging winds which are also associated with damaging waves are expected in that area where we are also issuing a slightly lower level of a yellow warning."
