JOHANNESBURG - A one-month-old baby who was stolen at Masakhane Clinic in Alexandra has been found.
The child was reported missing on Monday when the mother could not find the baby.
It’s understood that she asked another woman to hold her child while she went to the restroom, and upon her return, they were nowhere to be seen.
Police spokesperson Mavela Masondo said the baby was later dropped off at a local police station unharmed.
“It is reported that the mother of the baby was going into the restroom at the clinic when she was told by a woman, who was also in the queue, that infants are not allowed inside the restrooms and offered to hold the baby. The matter was reported to the security officers, who searched around, with no success.”
