KWAMHLANGA - Two suspects accused of kidnapping journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Mdhluli have applied for Legal Aid, stalling the case against them.
The pair was arrested earlier this week and made their first appearance at the KwaMhlanga Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Sello Uoane and Thato Madisha have been added to a long list of accused in the matter and face two counts of kidnapping each.
Uoane, a parolee convicted of rape, has been added as the third accused in the case, while Madisha is now the fourth accused.
They were arrested earlier this week along with another suspect, who is yet to appear in court.
In total, eight suspects have been arrested.
The matter has been postponed to next week when Uoane and Madisha will join their co-accused in the box.
All of the suspects have been remanded in custody.
Last week, police made a grim discovery of two skeletal remains in Rust de Winter in Limpopo, believed to be of Ndhlovu and Mdhluli.
Authorities are yet to release the DNA results.
