SA entertainment industry reeling in shock after Presley Chweneyagae’s death

JOHANNESBURG - The South African entertainment industry is reeling in shock following the sudden passing of award-winning actor, Presley Chweneyagae.
The thespian rose to fame after playing the lead role in the Oscar-winning South African film, Tsotsi.
He has since made a name for himself in the industry, acting in several films and TV shows.
The 40-year-old died at his home in the North West in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Industry colleagues have expressed shock at the passing of the internationally acclaimed actor.
While Chweneyagae was best known for Tsotsi, he also captured the hearts of millions in local productions such as More Than Just a Game, where he featured alongside Tshepo Maseko.
"What a bubbly boy, what a happy boy, what a super talented boy, what a fun actor to play alongside. Just to wake up to news that this is what has happened between us as the industry, it's just, it's unreal, you know. I'm almost like, this is a bad dream or what?"
Details of his memorial and funeral have not yet been shared.
