Together with registered credit bureaus, SASSA identified the individuals.
It said that they now needed to visit their respective SASSA branches for a grant review to determine whether they still qualified.
SASSA spokesperson Paeska Letsatsi said if the beneficiaries failed to report within the 30-day notice period, they risked having their grants suspended.
SASSA spokesperson Paseka Letsatsi said: "They are also obligated to inform SASSA of any changes to their financial circumstances after their application has been approved. Failure to comply with these requirements constitutes a violation of the act and may result in corrective action."
