JOHANNESBURG - The man accused of murdering a 14-year-old girl in Roodepoort is adamant that he should be released on bail.
Thirty-nine-year-old Mduduzi Mnisi appeared in court on Wednesday for a bail hearing.
He's accused of mutilating and killing Likhona Fose in Durban Deep in May.

The accused also has a previous conviction for robbery with aggravating circumstances and attempted murder.
Mnisi was out on parole when he allegedly murdered Fose.
The Department of Correctional Services confirmed that he started serving an 18-year sentence in 2009.
But in September 2018, after serving nine years, he was granted parole.
Mnisi was arrested last week on a charge of premeditated murder after he was taken in for questioning about Fose's murder.
He made his second court appearance in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court and was flanked by officials from the Department of Correctional Services.
During proceedings, Mnisi instructed his Legal Aid lawyer, Asanda Qwabe, to proceed with his bail application.
However, the matter was rolled over to 24 June for the bail process to be heard in a different courtroom.
