JOHANNESBURG - Pupils at a school in Pretoria East are receiving psychosocial support after a grade 11 pupil was stabbed to death.
A matriculant from another school allegedly attacked him outside the Lesedi Secondary School.
Gauteng Department of Education spokesperson Steve Mabona said the motive for the attack was not yet known.
"The MEC did indicate that he is heartbroken by this senseless act of violence. No child should ever lose their life in the pursuit of education, and we wish to convey condolences to the family and community at large."
