It is unclear whether the other three suspects in the matter, charged with robbery and possession of stolen property, will make an appearance.
A memorial service was held for the couple earlier this week in Pretoria, after DNA testing confirmed their remains.
The couple went missing in February, and their remains were found in Rust de Winter in Limpopo in the first week of May.
