JOHANNESBURG - The auctioneers tasked with selling the infamous Gupta compound say they expect the sale to be an interesting task.
Park Village Auctions opened the Saxonwold properties up to the media on Monday ahead of the auction next month.
Three properties owned by the controversial brothers are set to be sold separately.
The three distinctly different properties currently stand, fully furnished and ready for their next owners.
It's been a seven-year legal battle with the Guptas before the business rescue practitioners gave the go-ahead for the sales.
Graham van Niekerk from Park Village Auctions said they are hoping there will be interest in the properties.
"I think it's a little too early, the sale will only take place on the 24th of July, so I think by then we will know and have a fair idea, but to be honest with you, we don’t know what to expect."

He said that who the previous owners were could have both a positive and negative impact on the sale.
"A lot of people have this morbid fascination to come and see how and what actually happened here, and I'm not sure if any of those people are interested in actually buying and occupying the property."
The properties will be opened for public viewing from the 6th of next month.
