DURBAN - Various law enforcement agencies are inspecting the Kosi Bay border gate and its surroundings to tackle crime and clamp down on undocumented foreign nationals.
This is to curb criminal elements at the border gates between South Africa, Mozambique, and Swaziland.
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli is leading the operation.
This comes after over 130 foreign nationals were arrested during various operations in Durban last week.

Some of the major issues reported along the borderlines are ageing infrastructure, where the wall separating Mozambique and Swaziland is not properly fenced.
This results in both South Africans and Mozambicans crossing into the countries illegally.
Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli visited the border.
“We are worried about the undocumented foreign nationals and even the illicit goods coming into our country, hence we’ve met the border management authority, SAPS [South African Police Service] and all law enforcement to try and understand all the challenges.”
He said he is pleased with law enforcement operations targeting crime in this part of the province.
The premier is now heading to Anguzi, where he will address several community members and stakeholders.
