JOHANNESBURG - Tshwane council Speaker Mncedi Ndzwanana has rejected allegations that he runs council sittings based on emotion instead of following proper procedure.
The ATM councillor survived a DA-sponsored motion of no confidence on Thursday.
The DA brought the motion, accusing Ndzwanana of unfairly targeting the party and abusing his authority.
Speaking to reporters, Ndzwanana rejected the accusations, labelling them as completely baseless.
"I would like to set the record straight. The rulings that I make in all council sitting are not based on emotions. I noticed the latest misguided and baseless accusations around me. I conduct the meetings of the council in accordance with the rules and orders of all law."
