JOHANNESBURG - Residents in parts of Johannesburg will have to cope without running water for the next two days.
This as Rand Water continues its maintenance operations across Gauteng.
Areas affected include Parktown North, Ridgeway, Nasrec and Hyde Park.
Johannesburg residents are being urged to brace for a 48-hour water outage starting on Monday.
This as Rand Water conducts maintenance on the Zwartkopjes system, which supplies several communities in the metro.
The works form part of Rand Water's province-wide infrastructure upgrade programme, which began in May and is scheduled to run until July.
According to Joburg Water, water tankers will only be dispatched after the first 24 hours of the outage.
Water supply is expected to be fully restored by 7am on Wednesday morning.
