1 person dies in crash involving truck, motor vehicle in Albertinia

CAPE TOWN - One person has died in an accident involving a truck and a motor vehicle on the N2 in Albertinia.

Western Cape Department of Mobility spokesperson Muneera Allie said both vehicles caught alight in the crash, which happened on Tuesday at about 09:45 pm.

Allie said the crash resulted in one lane being closed on the N2 between Albertinia and Mossel Bay.

"One fatality is confirmed and one person sustained minor injuries. All teams are on site. The fire has since been contained."
