Police investigate double murder in Mitchells Plain

CAPE TOWN - Police are continuing their investigation into a double murder in Mitchells Plain on Friday night.

Two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder have been registered, after gunshots were reported in San Francisco Street.

The suspects fled the scene and have so far evaded arrest.

Police spokesperson F.C. Van Wyk says one of the victims escaped unharmed.

“At a premises in San Francisco Street, Portlands, Mitchells Plain, where two males aged 21 and 22 were shot and fatally wounded and a 26-year-old shot and injured. A 21-year-old was not injured in this incident.”
