DA to lay criminal complaint against Police Minister Mchunu following claims of misconduct against him

JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance (DA) said it would lay criminal complaint against Police Minister Senzo Mchunu following damning allegations of misconduct against him.
The party plans to make the move on Thursday.
KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi implicated Mchunu in a cover-up of high-profile police investigations.
He also said that Mchunu was among senior police officials colluding with underworld figures to interfere in internal police operations.
The DA's Lisa Schickerling said that Mchunu must account.
"This forms part of our efforts to hold those in power accountable and protect the rule of law."
