JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Health Department has assured residents that water tankers would be dispatched to hospitals in Pretoria North that have been impacted by maintenance work on its systems.
Water supply remains very low at George Mukhari Academic Hospital and the Jubilee Hospital, north of Pretoria.
Repair work is currently being conducted at the Hartbeeshoek Reservoir, which directly supplies the health facilities.
Provincial health department spokesperson Motalatale Modiba said, "We are told by the authorities that the maintenance work should be completed by the 18th of July of course, we welcome the continuous maintenance of the water network because what then means it guarantees us that we will have a stable and consistent supply of water future."
