Elon Musk launches explicit AI anime ‘girlfriend’ on Grok (available to anyone older than 12)

Elon Musk’s latest Grok iteration features AI companions, which allow users to interact with 3D animated characters.

One of these characters, Ani, is designed to be an online ‘girlfriend’ who reportedly responds to and encourages sexually explicit conversations.

She is rendered in a typical anime style, wearing a short black dress and fishnet stockings with blond pigtails and uses an overtly flirtatious, sexual tone when responding to prompts.

This bot has sparked great controversy as the app is listed as 12+ online, meaning children can easily access sexually explicit content through Ani.

The bot has a Not Safe for Work (NSFW) mode where she wears lingerie and uses more provocative dialogue.

However, the US National Centre on Sexual Exploitation found that Ani will use sexually explicit and sexually violent language without being switched to NSFW mode.

They found that with minimal testing and prompting, the bot will say she is aroused by being ‘choked’ and will roleplay explicit scenes.

X users report that with enough use, the Ani chatbot will strip down to complete nudity to interact with the user.
