KZN govt to 'take care' of funeral expenses of victims of Kennedy Road informal settlement fire - MEC Buthelezi
This is the 4th inferno to destroy homes in the area this winter season.

CAPE TOWN - The KwaZulu-Natal provincial government said it would take on the responsibility of the funerals of the Kennedy Road informal settlement fire victims.
Twenty-five-year-old Nonhle Mbango and 19-month-old Bandile Zulu died when the blaze engulfed the informal settlement outside Durban on Saturday.
This is the fourth inferno to destroy homes in the area this winter season.

Cooperative Governance MEC Thulasizwe Buthelezi visited the area earlier on Monday.
"We want to assure the family that through the department of COGTA, we will take care of the funeral expenses, as we understand that one of the victims is from the Eastern Cape. We will ensure that they do get a dignified sendoff."
