LUSIKISIKI - The six men arrested in connection with the Lusikisiki mass murder are expected back in court on Tuesday, where their trial gets underway.

On Monday, the men appeared in court, where they pleaded not guilty.

They face charges including conspiracy to commit murder, murder, kidnapping and robbery with aggravating circumstances.

They were arrested following the deaths of 18 relatives in Ngobozana Village in Lusikisiki in 2024.

The families of the victims from the Lusikisiki massacre will get to hear some aspects of the brutal murders of their loved ones.

They said they are expecting this trial to shed some light, particularly on the reason why the 18 people were killed in such a brutal manner.

The matter will be heard in the Mthatha High Court, but it is sitting in the Lusikisiki Regional Court.

This is so that families do not travel a long distance to attend the trial.

All accused - Mzukisi Ndamase, Siphosoxolo Mayekethe, Aphiwe Ndende, Bonga Hinsta, Nomawethu Nomdlwembu and Songezo Vuma - pleaded not guilty to all charges.
