Duo accused of killing seven-year-old Lolitha Kowa due back in court

CAPE TOWN - The alleged killers of seven-year-old Lolitha Kowa are back at the Khayelitsha Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
Odwa Jack and Nokuthula Matyeseni were arrested last week Wednesday in connection with the rape and murder of the little girl in Kuyasa, Khayelitsha.
The State said that bloodstains believed to be that of the child were found inside Matyeseni’s home as well as in Jack’s minibus taxi.
Lolitha Kowa's body was discovered at a dumping site in Kuyasa on Wednesday last week.
Her mother had reported her missing the night before, after she didn't return home from playing with a friend.
The mother of Lolitha's friend, Matyeseni, and her boyfriend, Odwa Jack, were arrested for the murder.
The couple made their first appearance at the Khayelitsha Magistrate's Court exactly a week ago.
Residents of Kuyasa in Khayelitsha are pleading with the court not to release the pair on bail.
