JOHANNESBURG - Residents in some parts of Tsakane in Ekurhuleni staged a protest on Friday afternoon over service delivery issues.
The community has allegedly been in the dark for a few days now.
EMPD said the roads that were blocked to traffic earlier on Friday morning were now open.
EMPD spokesperson Joy Mdluli said they were containing the situation.
"Although the protestors are not volatile, some vehicles are still maneuvering through. The EMPD First Response Unit and SAPS POPS officers are standing off at the intersection, monitoring the scene."
