2 people killed, 5 others wounded in shooting in Imizamo Yethu

CAPE TOWN - Hout Bay police are investigating a suspected taxi-related hit in Imizamo Yethu.

Five people were wounded and two others were killed in a shooting on Thursday night. 

Seven suspects were arrested.

Police spokesperson Fredrick van Wyk said that police were tipped off about the incident by the local fire department.

"The members went there and found four victims who were treated for gunshot wounds. The victims informed the members that there are two people at the mentioned address who are presumably deceased. The members went to the address and found two bodies with gunshot wounds lying on the ground."
