Claremont residents protest over ongoing water outages

JOHANNESBURG - Residents in Claremont, west of Johannesburg, are staging a protest against ongoing water outages.

Community members said they have not had any water for the past few days.

They said Joburg Water hasn’t provided an explanation for the interruption in the water supply.

Frustrated community member, Bianca Olivier, said they needed a tangible solution.

"They're not giving us answers, they're not being honest with us. So that's why the residents have taken to the streets to say 'No, we want and we're demanding answers'. We're demanding answers from Joburg Water and we're demanding answers from Dada Morero."
